For most people in America, the Super Bowl is the most watched show of the year. While it may be a big deal to the adults, kids not so much. Especially the younger ones. So whether you are having a big super bowl party or just a small gathering at home with kids and maybe some family and friends, check out these ideas into getting your kids into the big day.
Let's Eat
For my family, we have chili cheese dogs. But for a snacks this year I plan on having Chili Cheese Mini Dogs, Cream Cheese Nibbles, and Mexican Chex Mix.
During the Game
During the game, try to keep things fun and simple. Like encouraging your child to throw up their arms and say touchdown! Make penalty flags to throw around and pom-poms to cheer on the game.
Half Time
This a great time to refill those snacks and to play games with the kids. If you have a little diva in training, now would be a great time for her to put on her own half time show. Not into that, then how about pin the football between the goal (modified version of pin the tail on the donkey), have a mini football game, face painting. Just get creative!
After the Game
Whether your team wins or loses, give your child a super bowl ring. They may not be all that interested in the game, but making a little effort to get them involved will have your game day go much smoother!
